Serikos 1984 with Tessitura Attilio Imperiali
The resources, skills, know-how and experience – as well as an immense 40-year textile archive – of Serikos 1984 (historic Como-based converter creator of fabrics for the fashion market) are welcomed and included in Attilio Imperiali’s organization to give further strength and breadth to the company’s international apparel fabrics proposal.
Serikos was established in 1984 at Como by the commitment and perseverance of three professionals, driven by a great passion and desire to complement textiles creativity with the utmost attention to detail and high quality. A commercial reality dedicated to customer satisfaction through processes for developing products made to commission, unique and cutting-edge collections, along with a rapid, efficient and punctual service. In its beginnings, Serikos initially dedicated itself to the field of men’s shirts and ties, to then also go into women’s clothing, high fashion and evening wear. Over time it further expanded its range and started working also with the most famed fashion houses, with which it still today regularly dialogues to develop the best solutions to offer the market. Over the years it expanded and evolved, passing from an artisanal production to a structured company with cutting-edge machinery and digitised control systems: in the late 90s it had over 25 employees and worked all over the nation and internationally, turning to markets not only in Europe with particular success in France, the United Kingdom and Eastern countries, but it also expanded to the United States and the Far East (Japan, Korea, China and Taiwan).
Serikos1984 saw a succession of several professionals and as of 2019 Tessitura Attilio Imperiali acquired the Como company. A strategic choice dictated by continual research into perfecting and expanding its range to satisfy an increasingly more demanding and sophisticated target audience.
At the end of 2022 a further evoultion: the previous simple acquisition becomes a true integration. Serikos 1984-its brand, people, skills, offerings, and capabilities-is included in the Lurate Caccivio-based company representing only the Attilio Imperiali high-fashion creative apparel brand, which thus welcomed additional fabrics, skills, and personnel specializing in converter and textile R&D. Through the full-fledged integration of Serikos 1984 into the organizational chart, Attilio Imperiali’s offerings in termii of sought-after yarn-dyed jacquard fabrics, printed products and plain yarn items are thus expanded, with further prospects for growth in the domestic and international markets of not only the high-end clothing channel but also casual and streetwear.
Attilio Imperiali, with the Serikos 1984 brand, therefore, today proposes versatile, innovative, unique fabrics that span different fields and make use of special techniques, often from different sectors. nd so, for example, a particular embroidery for mattresses is developed on a fabric for a dress, or the processing operations for car seats are replicated, or three-dimensional operations to create special fabrics, or the waterproofing of a bag is taken as a starting point for making unique fabrics that are hard to replicate in order to satisfy product customisation that is more and more in demand by high end brands.
This is the true workhorse of Serikos 1984: the capability of “challenging” originality and the exclusivity of customer requests satisfying them in shorter times, thanks to the huge textiles archive available, up-to-date technical skills in different textiles channels, and a broad portfolio of specialised vendors.
A capital, built with time and experience.
